ST STEPHEN’S EPISCOPAL DAY SCHOOL

MAIN HIGHWAY PAVILION

STATEMENT TO THE COMMUNITY

Think. Love. Grow. These words represent the essence of our St. Stephen’s experience.  We provide room to think, a place to love and time to grow.

When the school was founded in 1958, it was inspired by ideals of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church community. The school embraced academic excellence deeply seeded in a spiritual environment.  It was about nurturing a child’s curiosity and fostering a love of learning.  St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School became an integral part of Coconut Grove.

We are evermore committed to providing our children the best education.  Today, that means preparing our children for the 21st Century. Every day we are faced with new challenges and new opportunities. We must meet those challenges and continue our legacy of developing strong leaders of tomorrow.

Construction on our new LEED registered facility commenced in early May. This building will connect education to environmental stewardship for our students.  This significant step in our 50-year history affords us the opportunity to enrich the community.

Our efforts have always been inspired by the aspirations of the future.  We see the hopefulness in change, growth, and of history coming to life in education and preparation.  Our new Main Highway Pavilion pays significant homage to our roots of the past and brings hope to the future.

St. Stephen’s is setting an example for other educational institutions to follow.  We are meeting the expectations of 21st Century education for our current students and generations to come.  This facility is an instrumental piece of our founding legacy to inspire and to educate.
